Location: Edinburgh St Andrew’s Square based – hybrid home & office working
Salary: c£75,000 - £85,000 (depending on experience) plus 15% of base salary as a benefits allowance plus full benefits listed below..

Right now, we’re looking for a Financial Reporting Senior Manager to join our Finance Function in Edinburgh!
About the role
As the Financial Reporting Senior Manager, you will help drive and manage the delivery of a World Class Financial Reporting and Control function here in HEINEKEN UK!
This includes the overall balance sheet accounting and Financial Reporting for the function, the Control oversight and effective governance and delivery with the HEINEKEN Global Shared Service Centre in Krakow. You’ll also have overall responsibility for the Balance Sheet reconciliation, accuracy, external financial reporting
Another exciting part of the role is the Business Partnering aspect! You’ll provide technical accounting support for major transactions in the UK and work cross functionally with other parts of the business on projects.
You’ll have great access and exposure to our Global and European teams, as well as our colleagues in Krakow. Although there’s not a huge amount of travel involved in the role, it’s within your gift to travel and connect with these teams as building relationships with be vital.
The role is also responsible for all internal and external audit, requirements in the UK.
Additionally, we are on a mission to transform our financial systems and processes for HUK and our Star Pubs business and build new ERP systems which will become our digital backbone (“DBB”). Consequently, the R&A team will be integral in the design, testing, go-live and stabilisation of the new systems (as well as ensuring the existing systems remain steady through the various phases of transformation.
A key element of this role is the team management across both business as usual and DBB requirements of the team of 4Addiitonally, indirect management of colleagues in in the shared service centre will also be required, therefore, strong leadership skills are crucial for this position! You’ll report into the Head of Reporting & Accounting, acting as a right hand, and eventually a successor with the right development plan.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for a commercially experienced Qualified Accountant with a proven track record of working in similar financial reporting roles. Ideally, you’ll have a background in FMCG or experience working in the Big 4, but we’ll still consider applications with the appropriate transferable skills.
If you;
- Are a qualified accountant with extensive post qualification experience.
- Have previously managed financial reporting and accounting teams
- Have excellent analytical and communication skills
- Have a keen focus on effective financial controls and financial control improvement
- Have a strong IFRS technical accounting expertise, coupled with a solid commercial understanding.
- Are full of energy and would be able to bring IFRS technical accounting to life advising on Heineken transactions and new business
- Are not afraid to actively challenge the status quo and drive exciting process improvements Then this could be the role for you!

Our office sites operate a hybrid model. You’ll spend Tuesdays, Thursdays and one other day in the office and two days from home, although but you’re more than welcome to come and work from the office on those days too.
