Job Summary

The role involves optimizing the SnapLogic ecosystem, improving code efficiency, and identifying automation opportunities. Responsibilities includes determining the best-fit integration solutions (SnapLogic, MFT, Qlik, etc.), reducing core costs, and ensuring early engagement in integration planning. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge across software, servers, storage, networks, and cloud environments, along with experience in system architecture, security, and enterprise integration solutions.

Basic Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• At least 12+ years of experience
• Strong skills in SQL, Java, Python and ETL concepts.
• Strong skills with cloud or SaaS integrations like AWS, Snowflake and other.
• Experience with relational databases such as Snowflake, Teradata and Oracle.
• Design and Develop ETL jobs and SnapLogic pipelines to manage Project requirements.
• Provide insights to consultants for continuous improvement and participate in projects as needed.
• Review and approve technical decisions from development teams.
• Assessments of AS Is and To Be states, create transformation plans with Benchmarks of future states.
• Evaluate and/or develop Innovative ideas and solutions for the technology stack.
• Participate in technical design specification activities as needed.
• Define and provide training to consultant trainers on Caterpillar-specific tools and processes.
• Work with Technical Leads and business partners to understand and execute availability and Performance in environments (Test, QA, Pre-Prod, Prod).
• Performing implementation and integration tasks for complex developed systems and software solutions.                
• Translating business and functional requirements to technical requirements and specifications.
• Communicate and promote the adoption of practices and standards within development teams.
• Capable of thriving in high-pressure situations and delivering results within tight time constraints.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge of software, servers, storage, network (load balancers and firewalls), and overall Caterpillar risk domains and cloud domains. Accountable for product Licenses.
• Understanding of systems architecture, and security for external and internal communication.
• Participate in the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers and requirements that drive the future state architecture.

Required Skillsets:

• Should have 12+ years of relevant experience in Integrations technologies/areas.
• Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases
• Should have development and administrator experience in ETL technologies like DataStage, Qlik replicate and SnapLogic.             
• Should have the ability to learn new skills at a faster pace.
• Should have a good knowledge of Caterpillar policies and procedures, and a general understanding of Caterpillar’s organization.
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and conceptualization skills.
• Ability to network with peers and achieve results through others.
• Lead your product developers in the resolution of difficult product design and development issues.
• Keep up with Industry changes/standards. Be Initiative-taking about the changes and influencing roadmaps.

Nice To Have:

• Determine early integration engagement – provide right fit solution for A2A/B2B/DS at project planning (MFT versus SnapLogic versus Qlik versus….)
• Partner with product owners to establish approved patterns across all Data Integration platforms and recommend appropriate solutions.
