Summary
This position would assist and support the Vice Chair of Research for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department. In close partnership with the Vice Chair, and occasionally other faculty leaders, this individual will help accelerate our scientific mission by supporting: Clinical and translational research project management; Scientific communications; Manuscript preparation and submissions; Grant development; and Departmental communications. By supporting one of the most active and impactful OB/GYN research departments in the country, this role offers unparalleled exposure to cutting-edge science and significant career development opportunities in research administration, academic writing, and scientific strategy.
Job Duties
- Clinical and translational prenatal genetic research project management, including IRB compliance and regulatory documentation.
- Scientific communications, including the creation of compelling presentations and reports for diverse audiences.
- Manuscript preparation and submissions, with responsibilities such as formatting references, proofing, designing figures, and ensuring open-access compliance.
- Grant development, including drafting sections, formatting biosketches, assembling submission packages, assisting with budgets, and maintaining updated departmental research resources.
- Departmental communications, helping convey research achievements and progress to leadership and institutional partners.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned related to departmental research goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field preferred.
