Purpose of Role/Summary:
This role is focused on providing first-line IT support across hardware, software, and network-related issues. Key responsibilities include managing help desk tickets, setting up and maintaining IT equipment and systems, and administering Microsoft Office 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.). The position also involves user account management, system backups, documentation, and participation in IT projects.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Microsoft 365 administration, basic networking concepts, and Windows/macOS environments. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential. A Microsoft 365 certification and a degree in IT or a related field are required, with prior help desk experience considered a plus.
Main Activities And Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, applications, and IT equipment
- Manage and resolve help desk tickets in a timely manner
- Set up new hardware and software for end users
- Administer Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, license management)
- Perform system backups and assist with data security and recovery
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
- Document troubleshooting steps and system configurations
- Support IT projects and ensure systems are regularly updated
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software
- Assist with various IT-related tasks as needed
- Provide support for other IT-related tasks and projects as needed
- Any other duties relevant to the role
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 administration and troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge of hardware, Windows/macOS, and common applications
- Understanding of networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Clear communication skills, especially with non-technical users
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with remote support and ticketing systems (a plus)
- Microsoft 365 certification (Fundamentals or higher) — required
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Prior IT support or help desk experience is a plus
- Eagerness to learn and take on new responsibilities
