AV is seeking an experienced Integration and Test (I&T) Technician to support multiple programs within its Space Technologies Division, part of the Labs Sector.The Space Technologies Division develops advanced techniques, systems, subsystems, and design elements to enable the implementation of high-reliability optomechanical and electrical systems.
In this role, you will be performing hardware integration and testing on a variety of spaceflight electrical and mechanical systems.The ideal candidate has hands-on experience and expertise inspecting and evaluating electrical hardware, operating electronics test equipment, working in clean rooms, and setting up and running environmental tests (thermal, vacuum, vibration).
On any given day the selected candidate may be asked to perform the following:
- Execute established policies and procedures to perform detailed design validation of space electronic systems.
- Conduct testing of hardware in environmental simulation systems (thermal vacuum, ambient thermal chambers, vibration shakers).
- Conduct electrical testing of CCAs, cables, modules and systems.
- Perform electronic module and systems testing/validation in accordance with hardware unique procedures.
- Setup and perform tests on optical systems and associated components.
- Perform all tasks in compliance with established QMS processes.
- Prepare and execute procedures, reports, or data acquisition as assigned.
- Assist engineers and other technicians as required.
Required Education And Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience.
- Hands-on experience operating test equipment, including thermal chambers, vibration tables, ovens, oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, and data acquisition systems.
- Experienced in performing electrical tests at board, module and system levels.
- Familiarity with the safe use of common hand tools and equipment in a lab or test environment.
- Proficient in standard business software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Preferred Education And Experience:
- Associates degree in a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent.
- Previous experience with handling and testing flight grade space hardware.
- Knowledge of clean room practices and procedures.
- Experience working under AS9100 (or similar) quality systems.
- Knowledge of typical electronics validation methods using common measurement tools (voltmeters, oscilloscopes, DVMs, DSAs).
- Familiarity with a wide variety of environmental test methods (vibration, vacuum, thermal, etc).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills using typical business software (i.e., Microsoft Office).
- Experienced with ESD handling protocols and device safety measures.
- Hands-on experience following intricate test procedures and interpreting engineering drawings.
Salary Range: $65k - 75k
