Projects Business Analysis is responsible for identifying and documenting the business needs of their clients and stakeholders and helping to determine feasible solutions to meet business needs or resolve business problems.
This position has the following accountabilities:

- Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Capture business problems, value drivers, and both functional and non-functional requirements (e.g., health, safety, security, usability, data, supportability).
- Translate business needs into actionable functionality and assess risks, feasibility, and business impacts of solution options.
- Process & Data Modelling
- Assess and model current processes, data flows, and technologies to identify improvement opportunities.
Documentation & Traceability
- Create and maintain clear documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure traceability from business needs through testing and scope changes to final delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead stakeholder management activities, including facilitation of design sessions and requirement validation.
- Present compelling business cases to justify solution value and secure approval and funding.
Solution Delivery Support
- Interact with software suppliers, designers, and developers to understand limitations and ensure requirements are met.
- Configure and document software and processes using agreed standards and tools.
Testing & Validation
- Define acceptance criteria and coordinate testing to validate that solutions meet business needs.
Project Execution
- Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and control Business Analysis activities within agreed parameters of cost, time, and quality.

Special Challenges:
- Deep domain understanding of the respective portfolio is required.
- Deep experience of large-scale program and project management is required.
- Structured business analysis skill set and understanding of methodologies is required
- General understanding of the Australian Energy Market and its participants is preferred
- Prior experience in a Power or Gas trading environment is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies is preferred.
- Ability to research innovative solutions and guide interactions with technology vendors.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills for stakeholder engagement.
