Job Description
Insightsoftware is seeking a strategic and experienced Vice President of Total Rewards and Systems to lead our global compensation, benefits, and HR systems strategy. This senior leadership role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing total rewards programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent while ensuring seamless integration with our HR technology ecosystem. The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in compensation philosophy and program design with strong technical acumen in HR systems management.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive total rewards strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans
- Partner with executive leadership to design competitive compensation and benefits frameworks that support talent acquisition and retention goals
- Lead market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive positioning across all roles and geographies
- Drive total rewards philosophy and governance across the organization
- Provide strategic counsel to leadership on compensation-related decisions and workforce planning
Program Management
- Oversee global compensation programs including base salary, variable pay, equity compensation, and executive compensation
- Design and manage comprehensive benefits programs including health, wellness, retirement, and voluntary benefits
Systems and Technology
- Lead HR systems strategy with focus on compensation management, benefits administration, and reporting platforms
- Oversee implementation and optimization of HRIS, compensation management systems, and benefits platforms
- Drive data integrity, system integrations, and process automation initiatives
- Develop advanced analytics and reporting capabilities to support data-driven decision making
- Partner with IT teams to ensure system security, scalability, and performance
- Team Leadership and Development
- Build and lead a high-performing team of total rewards and systems professionals
- Provide coaching, development, and career growth opportunities for team members
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the function
- Collaborate effectively with HR business partners, finance, legal, and other key stakeholders
Governance and Compliance
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks for compensation decisions and system access
- Lead audit processes and maintain documentation for compensation and benefits programs
- Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations for benefits and system providers
- Lead annual compensation planning cycles, merit increase processes, and equity grant programs
- Develop and implement recognition and rewards programs to support employee engagement
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and tax requirements across all operating locations
Qualifications
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 12-15 years of progressive experience in total rewards, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles
- Proven experience managing complex compensation programs in technology or software companies
- Strong background in HR systems implementation and management
- Experience with global/multi-national compensation and benefits programs
Technical Skills
- Expert knowledge of compensation philosophy, job evaluation, and market pricing methodologies
- Proficiency with compensation management systems (Workday)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in advanced Excel or other data analysis tools
- Knowledge of equity compensation programs and related accounting/tax implications
- Familiarity with benefits administration platforms and vendor management
Leadership Competencies
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to senior leadership and board members
- Change management expertise with ability to drive transformation initiatives
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple complex initiatives
Professional Qualifications
- Experience with M&A integration and due diligence from total rewards perspective
