Job Description
This role leads North America Expense FP&A’s consolidation and management reporting, overseeing monthly close, forecasting, and AOP. Additionally, it serves as the Investments lead, gathering and analyzing investment ideas, tracking spend and performance, conducting post-audit reviews, and recommending funding reprioritization to ensure optimal financial results and alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Consolidation and Management Reporting: Serve as the primary lead for North America Expense FP&A’s consolidation and management reporting processes, overseeing all aspects of monthly financial close, forecasting, and the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Ensure all relevant data is accurately consolidated and presented to management, supporting effective decision-making.
- Management Reporting Execution: Facilitate the preparation and dissemination of timely and accurate management reports within the team. Guarantee that business leaders have access to insightful analytics and up-to-date financial information for their respective areas.
- Investment Leadership: Act as the Investments lead for the North America FP&A team, owning the full lifecycle of expense investment activities. This includes soliciting and collecting investment ideas from a wide range of business functions, prioritizing them according to regional strategies, and integrating them into overall financial plans.
- Financial Analysis of Investments: Conduct detailed financial analyses to determine the viability and expected impact of each proposed investment. Evaluate alignment with both short-term objectives and long-term strategic priorities of the North America region, providing well-supported recommendations.
- Investment Tracking and Performance Review: Continuously monitor investment spend and performance, ensuring expenses remain aligned with approved budgets. Lead post-audit reviews to assess the effectiveness of investments and promote ongoing financial stewardship.
- Strategic Reprioritization: Assess investment performance data and business needs to make recommendations for the reprioritization of allocated funding. Strive to optimize financial results and maintain alignment with overarching business objectives through strategic resource allocation.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications:
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting, month-end close and process development
- Sound foundation in Finance and working knowledge of GAAP and/or Visa Accounting Policy preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in MS Office (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Experience with a complex financial system (e.g., Hyperion) is beneficial but not required
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 170,700.00 to 247,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
