We are seeking an experienced Enrolment & Scheduling Insights Analyst to join the Timetabling and Enrolment team within Students and Scholarly Services.
In this role, you will improve the quality and efficiency of enrolment, timetabling, concessions, and room booking processes through advanced analysis, reporting, and forecasting. You will play a vital role in supporting operational and strategic decision making by identifying improvement opportunities and providing accurate, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Analysing enrolment, timetabling, concessions, and room booking data to identify issues and opportunities.
- Producing reports and dashboards to inform decision-making and track key KPIs.
- Conducting scenario-based modelling to assess the impact of changes in enrolment and timetabling.
- Providing insights to ensure enrolment forecasts align with timetabling and space planning needs.
- Recommending and implementing improvements to systems, reporting, and processes.
- Building strong relationships with faculty and service division stakeholders, IT, and system vendors.
- Maintaining expertise in scheduling and enrolment systems, data governance, and reporting tools.
This is a full-time, 37.5 hours per week, permanent role. The salary range for this role is $72,000 - $88,900 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Timetabling and Enrolment team is part of Students and Scholarly Services, which supports the University’s academic mission by delivering high-quality services across the student lifecycle. The team plays a key role in ensuring that enrolment, scheduling, and resource allocation processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with student and faculty needs.
He kōrero mōu | About you
You will bring strong analytical and reporting skills with experience in enrolment, timetabling, or scheduling in a tertiary or similar environment.
You Will Also Bring:
- A bachelor’s degree (essential), with preference for IT, statistics, information systems, or computer science.
- At least 3 years’ experience in scheduling, data analysis, or reporting roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in timetabling and student management systems (e.g., Syllabus Plus, PeopleSoft).
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with databases and reporting tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to present complex data clearly.
- Proven ability to build collaborative working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- A commitment to equity, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and inclusive practice.
Preferred:
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI).
- SQL or scripting experience.
- Knowledge of tertiary programme and course structures.
