2026 Summer Merchandising Internship
Location: Miami, FL or New York, NY
We are seeking a highly analytical and creative Merchandising Intern to join our team for the summer of 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the critical function that links design, sales, and product strategy. You'll analyze data, anticipate market needs, and help shape our product assortment for future seasons.
What You'Ll Do
You will support the Merchandising team by engaging in both tactical and strategic activities across the product lifecycle:
- Business Analysis: Review quantitative selling reports to perform detailed analysis of seasonal best and worst sellers, informing future product buys and merchandising strategy.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a key liaison, collaborating and interfacing with all cross-functional teams, including Design, Sales, Product Development, Technical Design, and Marketing.
- Market Intelligence: Help analyze the competitive market to ensure our pricing and brand positioning are optimal. Prepare regular competitive shopping recaps using data gathered from online and in-store sources.
- Product Line Maintenance: Create and maintain seasonal digital catalogs and organize both current and future season samples.
- Executive Support: Shadow the Merchandising Supervisor, attend key cross-functional meetings, and prepare clear, concise summaries of work status for presentation.
- Trend & Preparation: Perform trend research as needed and participate in and help prepare for critical meetings, including market preparation involving showroom samples and presentation boards.
Requirements
We are looking for analytical, driven candidates ready to jump into the world of fashion business:
- Academic Status: Must be a Junior or Senior currently enrolled and attending an accredited college/university, OR a recent graduate (having completed a degree between December 2024 and June 2026).
- Degree Focus: Pursuing a degree in Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and decision-making skills are essential for reviewing sales data and market trends.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office and Google Applications (especially Excel/Google Sheets). Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal team collaboration and external audiences. Must be able to present professional and informative product and trend assortments.
- Work Style: Highly detail-oriented and deadline driven with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively and interact professionally with varying personalities.
- Passion: Strong interest in both merchandising and fashion.
