About The Role
As a Specialist in the team you will be integral to supporting our operational teams to:
- Collectively brainstorm, build and deliver commercial strategies which enable our Customers to meet their strategic priorities
- Seek optimisation opportunities to drive value and reduce waste
- Make a difference through sustainable commercial strategies which support operationalisation of Copper South Australia Social Value Plan.
Key Accountabilities:
The key accountabilities of the role include:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies and techniques to leverage value creation opportunities;
- Conduct tendering, negotiation and implementation of strategic contracts to obtain favourable commercial outcomes;
- Build and leverages supplier relationships to identify cost optimisation opportunities;
- Builds positive, collaborative and robust relationships with customer teams in the Asset, which are outcomes driven;
- Works closely with Contract Owners to support contractor performance;
- Applies intelligence on industry trends, new innovation and market dynamics to drive enhanced decision making and planning and demonstrates an understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain to enhance; efficiency, drive optimisation, and maximise value; and
- Responsible for understanding contribution to Procurement Business Plan and develop plans to meet deliverables and Procurement targets.
About You
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in procurement, tendering processes and tools.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead change.
- Proven ability to conduct analysis and interpret results to identify key opportunities.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and the ability to challenge pre-established conceptions.
- Strong understanding of business improvement principles and practice.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
