If so, you may be a great fit for the Analyst Co-op role at Gas South.
As part of our Launchpad Co-op Program, students will complete three full-time (40-hour/week) rotations across departments such as Supply & Risk Management, Finance, IT, Marketing, and Operations. Each rotation offers exposure to different analytical challenges and business functions, helping students build a strong foundation in data analysis, business strategy, and cross-functional collaboration.
Program Timeline
- Fall 2025 (September–December)
- Summer 2026 (May–July)
- Spring 2027 (January–April/May)
- Students who successfully complete all three rotations may be considered for full-time opportunities at Gas South.
Job Responsibilities
NOTE: The following are the major responsibilities of this position. The basic requirement of every position is to perform all tasks assigned by the reporting authority.
- Analyze company and market data
- Develop models and processes using tools like SQL, Excel, and Power BI
- Perform competitive analysis and market research
- Monitor business metrics and report insights to leadership
- Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Prepare project documentation, presentations, and data flow diagrams
- Assist in data collection and validation tasks
Tools & Technologies You May Use
- SQL and SQL Server
- Power BI, Tableau, and other data visualization tools
- Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft Excel
- Agile development environments
- Programming logic or languages such as VB, Python, and R
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with financial modeling and business case development
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Effective time management and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with statistical or analytics software (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS)
- Ability to synthesize complex analytics into actionable insights
Eligibility
- Open to all majors, but preference will be given to students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in:
- Business/Management, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, Data Science or Business Intelligence
