This roster is 8/6 (dayshift only) and a 12 hour shift.

About The Role

Reporting to the Superintendent – Medium Term Planning, you’ll lead the delivery of the three-year budget schedule and integrate optimised mine designs that support the Life-of-Mine strategy. You’ll collaborate with Long-Term Planning, Operations and other Technical Service teams to ensure that mine plans are practical, achievable and aligned with our broader business objectives.

You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor a team of engineers, driving performance, capability and professional growth within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

In This Role You Will:

• Own, manage and deliver the mine schedule for the 3-Year Budget and rolling forecast periods.
• Integrate optimised mine designs and ensure alignment with the Life-of-Mine (LOM) plan.
• Identify and communicate key schedule risks and lead the development of remediation strategies.
• Analyse and reconcile planned designs against actual performance, providing clear insights and reporting.
• Continuously improve mine planning systems, guidelines and processes, embracing best practice and innovation.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering technical development and accountability.
• Collaborate on project work with Long-Term Planning and Group teams, including alternate ore source studies.

This role is key to ensuring that Ernest Henry’s operations run to plan and stay on track to deliver our production and safety goals.

About You

You’re a technically capable and forward-thinking mining engineer who enjoys solving complex challenges and turning plans into practical outcomes. You thrive in a collaborative team and are motivated by the opportunity to make a lasting impact on one of Australia’s leading underground operations.

You’Ll Bring:

• A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• Strong technical and operational mining experience (preferably in sub-level caving or similar).
• Proven skills in mine planning, scheduling and design, with high proficiency in Deswik and related software.
• A structured approach to critical path management and schedule optimisation.
• Clear communication skills – verbal, written and graphical – with the ability to engage effectively across teams.
• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset and commitment to mentoring and developing others.
