What You’Ll Do:

Role:

We are seeking a dynamic Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead our CDU (Coolant Distribution Unit) team in pioneering advanced thermal management solutions that will power the next generation of hyperscale data centers and high-performance computing systems.

The successful candidate will oversee technical development, optimize engineering processes, foster cross-functional collaboration, and drive both innovation and execution excellence while ensuring adherence to project timelines. They will collaborate with industry partners to advance continuous improvement and best-in-class technology, leveraging strong CAD & CFD design expertise and leadership to deliver innovative products.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full mechanical lifecycle development of our Coolant Distribution Units, ensuring they meet product development processes and project schedules.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team in performing thermal analysis, heat transfer simulations, stress analysis, and materials selection for air-cooled and liquid-cooled solutions.
  • Manage the team's workload, prioritize tasks, and delegate effectively, while also focusing on building the team's technical knowledge, supporting career growth, and managing performance.
  • Develop, refine, and implement engineering processes to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability.
  • Coach, train, and guide team members to strengthen technical expertise, support career growth, and build future leaders within the organization.
  • Drive a culture of technical excellence, innovation, autonomy, and accountability.
  • Create and manage plans for department budgets, the growth of the team, and project execution roadmaps.
  • Work closely with electrical, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and program management teams to ensure seamless integration of designs.
  • Partner effectively with product management to align engineering deliverables with customer requirements and timelines.
  • Collaborate and build strong working relationships with key industry partners and critical component vendors to promote a culture of continuous improvement and the adoption of best-in-class technology.
  • Participate in internal company-wide efforts with other departments focused on continuous improvement, process development, and the adoption of advanced technology.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar Engineering disciplines.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong expertise in thermal analysis, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, liquid-to-liquid / liquid-to-air heat exchangers, piping, pumps fans & electrical cable installation.
  • Direct experience with designing and performing stress analysis of mechanical structures, mounts, and assemblies.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing and fabrication processes, including sheet metal folding, extrusion, thermoplastic manufacturing, coating & treatment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, reliability engineering, and product lifecycle management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in the relevant thermal or fluid dynamics field.
  • Experience with high-volume production for industrial products.
  • Possess P.Eng designation or similar professional credentials.
