The Role

As a Senior Group Financial Accountant (f/m/x), you will be an integral part of our Global Finance team’s mission to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting and optimise the effectiveness of how we report our financial results. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing our world-wide accounting processes and operational excellence. You will work on strategic initiatives to align and refine the quality of our month end close processes, optimise internal controls in relation to financial reporting and ensure reporting accuracy.

Based in Wrocław, Poland, you will report to our VP Global Finance in our Group Head Office in Berlin.

What You’Ll Do

  • Design, implement and document standard Group-wide accounting procedures for some of our key accounting areas, such as revenue, inventory, fixed assets and intercompany.  
  • Regularly review and update these procedures to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency across all entities.
  • Collaborate closely with local market Finance teams to identify accounting best practices and ensure consistent application throughout the Group.
  • Lead alignment of these across the Group, taking into consideration any local market or local entity nuances. 
  • Partner with Global Finance Systems and Automation teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Drive the implementation of system enhancements to streamline accounting operations.
  • Develop comprehensive training materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for newly introduced accounting processes.

What You’Ll Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or CA/ACCA qualification
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, ideally in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and strong working knowledge of accounting concepts as well as  IFRS standards
  • Proven experience in daily and month end close accounting processes across multiple accounting areas, such as revenue, inventory, intercompany and fixed assets.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (at least level C1), with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and clearly present complex processes to your stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with at least one ERP system, preferably Oracle Fusion.
  • Advanced Excel / GSheet skills, additional experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
