As a FP&A Lead you'd be able to work on and solve many interesting challenges which we are facing, learn new ways of working, and help build delightful high quality products for our customers.  

Job Description

You would be a key trusted advisor to the business and a guardian on finance matters. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you are expected to create a culture of data driven insights to drive business performance. You are not just responsible for the accounting aspects, but building the analytics backbone that would enable the organization to be a truly digital & data driven business. The role requires proven leadership and an in-depth knowledge of technology, digital data & financial processes.

The Role Responsibility:

Financial Management

  • Deliver relevant and consistent accounting and management information (MI) together with the right analytical insights to help the management in their decision making as well as understanding the underlying financials.
  • Establish the appropriate KPIs for the senior management team to effectively track the performance and healthiness of the organization.
  • Work with technology, product and data teams to establish and build analytics dashboards showing key performance indicators.
  • Build MI in Digital & Self-serve format for senior stakeholders.
  • Integrate financial management into the day to day of this fast-changing business.
  • Monitor the business performance and help business to understand the trends, variances and underlying drivers for the same.
  • Supporting Budgeting, forecasting, planning & strategic reviews.
  • Track the performance against the strategy and budget.
  • Develop industry and competitive models that drive strategic decisions.
  • Liaise with SCB Finance teams for consolidation & group reporting.
  • Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of the MI.

Business Support

  • Support the business decisioning process by providing essential analytical skills, financial models, profit models, internal and external benchmarking and performing ‘what-if’ scenarios.
  • Be the strategic partner to the business driving a high performing, sustainable business with effective Balance Sheet management.
  • Support the efforts of the business to deliver annual budget performance by engaging and influencing stakeholders with relevant MI.
  • Review & challenge assumptions of plans as reflected in the business plans.
  • Provide advice to the various business streams how they can optimize the financial performance by setting the right priorities.
  • Providing judgement and impact assessment of proposed actions on performance.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 12 years of experience in Planning, Finance & Accounting within Financial Services, FinTech or a high growth start up.
  • Working knowledge of retail products preferred.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to problems and work with the larger team.
  • Demonstrated understanding of how Fintech operates differently from conventional financial organization.
  • Strong Change management skills.
  • Significant experience in a variety of commercial and controllership senior Finance roles in complex organizations.
  • Strong people leader with ability to lead and grow teams of international talent.
  • Strong business partner who can influence and effectively challenge C-suite stakeholders.
  • Energy and desire to succeed; follows through on commitments; pushes self and others to deliver exceptional results.
  • Strong collaboration, consensus building, problem resolution and communication skills are a prerequisite.
