Accountant

As a member of the Finance team, you will help support our data-driven culture by playing a prominent part in our accounting processes. Your positivity, knowledge in accounting, and fast “can do” attitude will help to find quick solutions to even the most unusual problems that arise in a high growth start-up life environment.

You’ll help us protect honest people online by:

• Work in collaboration with Senior Accountant, responsible for Revenue, to ensure timely billing and accurate revenue recognition;
• Taking ownership of the ‘Sales to Cash’ process where the role will be raising and distributing invoices and applying payments received into bank accounts;
• Management of Accounts Receivables through communication with internal stakeholders and customers along with resolution of issues arising during this process;
• Credit control with periodic follow up with the client and internal colleagues
• Periodic reporting on Account receivable management
• Periodic Bank Reconciliation and Accounts reconciliation
• Processing and reviewing purchase invoices, card payments transactions, expense reports and routing them for approval
• Supporting with month-end closing
• Assisting with additional ad-hoc duties to support the Accounting Department
• Respond to any queries that may arise accordingly, this will mean resolving discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information before coming to any decision.
• Other ad-hoc finance and accounts duties as assigned.

You are the right future Veriffian for the job if you have:

• 2 years experience in finance/accounting or a final year student in accounting
• Articulate and efficient communication and interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal skills
• Understanding different aspects of accounting rules and regulations
• A detail-oriented mindset, while also having generalization skills
• A “can-do” attitude, with the ability to prioritize and deliver
• Brings solutions and recommendations along with the problems and issues they find.
• The team player ethic, while being comfortable working independently

You’re an especially awesome match if you have:

• Worked in a multinational team before
• Experience with AR / AP processes
