Position Summary: The Agile Coach is a senior advisor who promotes Agile practices across multiple teams by continuously improving Agile methods and practices. Working with teams in the IT organization and business lines, this role supports an Agile culture and boosts delivery results. The Agile Coach develops and monitors metrics to track Agile adoption and maturity, using these insights to accelerate the organization’s Agile transformation efforts. 

As part of our hybrid work from home opportunity guidelines, associates are expected to work 2 days onsite in Lincoln, NE with the opportunity of 3 day WFH each week. Eligibility for this arrangement beginning upon completion of onboarding.

Essential Functions:

Agile Coaching & Mentorship

  • Serve as a servant leader and mentor, supporting and evangelizing best practices for Agile and ways of working without being part of the product/scrum team.
  • Provide hands-on coaching to teams and individuals on Agile principles (e.g.: Hybrid Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Disciplined Agile Deliver (DAD)).
  • Facilitate and conduct training and workshops for Digital Product teams, lines of business, and at the enterprise level, helping teams measure success through metrics and improve current practices by providing recommendations and best practices.
  • Guide and mentor multiple teams in the consistent practice of Agile concepts, including roles, ceremonies, processes, compliance, and tool usage within the Agile delivery context.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, feedback and learning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Help teams across lines of business embed an agile culture and improve Agile methods and practices to solve complex business improvement problems.
  • Guide adoption of an Agile, Digital Product-focused operating model for the IT organization, including process design and best practices for Agile ways of working.
  • Facilitate cross-team communication and remove organizational impediments.

Agile Process Improvement & Standards

  • Evaluate current workflows and Agile processes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement and refine Agile frameworks tailored to organizational needs.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging frameworks, and best practices in enterprise agility.

Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and monitor Agile adoption metrics (e.g., velocity, cycle time, quality indicators).
  • Recommend adjustments and accelerate Agile maturity using data-driven insights.
  • Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws, and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required.
  • Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position. 
  • Performs other job-related duties or special projects as assigned. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, technical-related discipline, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Agile roles (Scrum Master, Agile Coach, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of Agile frameworks (Hybrid Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and experience scaling Agile.
  • Proficiency in Agile tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jira) and Agile maturity metrics.
  • Industry certifications such as ICAgile Certified Professional in Agile Coaching Certification (ICP-ACC), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Agile Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or Safe Scrum Master Certification (SSM) and Safe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM) are valuable if supported by experience working with teams that employ a variety of Agile methodologies.

Working Environment:

  • Indoor work – not exposed to outdoor elements or hazards.
  • Some sedentary work and occasional lifting and/or carrying up to 15 pounds.
  • This role is eligible for hybrid work from home opportunity under the work from home guidelines upon completion of onboarding.
