Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and architectures on Azure, while working with a variety of analytics and data integration tools. This role will be instrumental in supporting data-driven decision-making across multiple business units by ensuring our data infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
- Architect and implement data solutions in Azure, leveraging services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse, and Azure Storage.
- Integrate data from various sources including SQL Server, Debezium change data capture (CDC) streams, Snowflake, and other third-party platforms.
- Implement and manage dbt (Data Build Tool) transformations to create modular, testable, and maintainable data models.
- Optimize and manage data warehouses and data lakes to support reporting, analytics, and machine learning workloads.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security across the entire data ecosystem.
- Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and data integrity.
Qualifications And Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud services (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Functions, Logic Apps).
- Expertise in SQL and experience with Azure SQL and SQL Server.
- Experience implementing Debezium for CDC pipelines.
- Proficiency with dbt for data modeling and transformation.
- Strong knowledge of Snowflake including performance tuning, schema design, and data loading.
- Experience working with multiple site analytics data sources (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.).
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL/ELT best practices.
- Proficiency in Python programming language for data processing.
