This position will work hybrid, 3 days per week in our Mexico City - Reforma office.
Site Reliability Engineer Summary:
Our growing technology company seeks an enthusiastic and passionate individual with Azure experience to join our cloud engineering team. In this role, you will help maintain the availability, performance, and reliability of our critical SaaS applications. You will work on automation, monitoring, incident response, and infrastructure improvements, gaining hands-on experience across multi-cloud environments.
What You’Ll Do:
- Support and maintain production SaaS applications in Azure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Assist in monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving cloud infrastructure and application issues.
- Participate in on-call rotations for weekends and emergencies, responding to incidents as needed.
- Help implement and improve disaster recovery, failover, and incident management processes.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and monitoring tools to streamline operational tasks.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to implement best practices for reliability, observability, and performance.
- Assist in post-incident reviews, identifying issues and contributing to preventive actions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize infrastructure and reduce manual toil.
What You’Ll Need:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Administration.
- Proven hands-on experience as a Cloud Administrator with Azure, including microservices on Kubernetes, cloud concepts, and cloud security.
- Solid understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting practices (e.g., Datadog, Azure Monitor, ELK stack)
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals such as firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, DNS, and routing.
- Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, or similar).
- Understanding backup, redundancy, and disaster recovery strategies in the cloud.
- Passionate about all aspects of incident management from detection through post-mortem with primary focus on the customer experience
We’D Love To See:
- Experience with AWS Cloud Platform
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins and Azure DevOps).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools such as SaltStack
- Familiarity with service discovery and distributed system coordination (e.g., Consul).
- Troubleshooting experience with log analysis and stack traces using Datadog APM.
- Exposure to geo-redundant or multi-region deployments is a plus.
