About This Role

We are seeking an Environment Support Expert to manage database-related issues and provide robust application support. This role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Oracle databases, ensuring system reliability and performance. The individual will work closely with stakeholders to resolve issues and contribute to the smooth functioning of application environments.

What You’Ll Do

  • Perform database monitoring and health checks
  • Manage tablespaces and user privileges
  • Execute SQL scripts and validate database objects
  • Monitor server filesystem and disk usage
  • Maintain Oracle Advanced Queuing (AQ) listeners
  • Oversee materialised views and troubleshoot database links
  • Schedule and troubleshoot jobs
  • Apply knowledge of RPG (desirable)
  • Demonstrate awareness of cloud architecture
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for issue resolution
  • Utilise ITIL framework and defect management tools (JIRA/BMC Remedy)

Who You Are

  • Skilled in Oracle DBA and SQL
  • Familiar with telecom domain applications (desirable)
  • Knowledgeable in ITIL practices and cloud architecture
  • Able to communicate clearly and think in a solution-oriented manner
  • Open-minded and experienced in data centre delivery
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative environment with minimal supervision
