Summary: The Support Specialist plays a critical role in managing application-level support for the Licensure and Regulation System (LARS) and Zendesk. This position is responsible for configuration, ticket resolution, and workflow optimization to ensure efficient system operations. The role requires proactive problem-solving and effective communication to maintain the external help desk system.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support the Zendesk help desk system, ensuring timely resolution of user inquiries and requests.
- Process change requests efficiently, implementing solutions as directed.
- Collaborate with application coordinators, trainers, and QA personnel for cross-functional support and system improvements.
- Document system changes, maintain logs, and communicate status updates effectively.
- Complete and address routine LARS and Zendesk support tickets within specified timelines.
- Provide weekly status updates to requestors and the LARS Application Manager on configuration requests.
- Document all modifications made to LARS in the Application Change Log and store supporting documentation in SharePoint.
Required Skills:
- Strong customer service and user support skills, with the ability to assist users with system-related inquiries.
- Experience in IT support workflows and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Familiarity with licensure processes and regulatory requirements within healthcare or government agencies.
- Experience with platforms such as Zendesk, LARS, and ServiceNow for ticketing and workflow management.
- Ability to configure system settings, user permissions, and automated workflows.
- Strong data management and documentation skills, with experience using SharePoint.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on professional documentation and reporting.
