Your Opportunity
The Principal Digital Lead is responsible for running a team of skilled and experience digital engineers and designers within the Roads & Highways team in NSW. The role has the dual functionality of leading outstanding technical outcomes for our clients and growing and shaping a high performing team. You would be responsible for influencing, implementing, and advising our clients to help them design, deliver, operate, and maintain outstanding infrastructure. In this role you’ll be actively involved in strategic roles on our most significant projects and programs and win and deliver work for you and your team.
As a leader, you’ll oversee managing the digital engineering aspect of major projects and priorities. You will manage project DE strategies ensuring alignment with the project and client requirements, activities will include:
- Develop and maintain digital systems to TfNSW standards
- Development of project documentation including digital engineering strategies and execution plans to best suit project and client needs
- Actively driving digital integration within projects and seeking opportunities to streamline the approach and outcome
- Coordinating DE activities and managing information exchanges in a common data environment. Ensuring that quality assurance and quality control checks of models align with the digital execution plan.
- Monitoring DE budgets and resources including forecast and reporting. Participation in Digital related meetings and presentations, as well as engagement with the wider DE team for a consistent approach across projects.
- Mentoring and supporting the wider Mott MacDonald team through guidance on Digital implementation
- Wider Mott MacDonald and industry presence through Digital working groups or committees
About You
A seasoned senior digital specialist with proven project delivery experience on significant elements of a major TfNSW project delivery who embodies the principles of lean and agile working. With extensive years’ experience working in a similar role on large scale projects, you have strong proficiency in principles of ISO19650, certification preferred but not mandatory. You can also bring:
- Strong understanding of digital processes and system including their optimisation and implementation on major projects
- Proven experience in a digital delivery role on Transport for NSW projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an adaptable approach to training individuals.
- Proficiency in CDE’s, coordination and modelling tools.
- A bachelor’s degree/diploma or equivalent in Engineering or Architecture
