Welcome to the future of energy
We are both an electricity retailer and a tech platform and we think there is no better way to address our greatest challenge, climate change, than with the combination of those two.
Through our proprietary tech platform, Kraken, we are changing the way people interact with their energy company - by making it approachable, low cost, easy-to-understand, and most importantly, 100% renewable.
Octopus Energy started with a bold idea: to build Britain's first truly digital energy supplier.
By combining world-class tech with brilliant humans who care deeply about customers and driving the renewable energy transition, we made it happen and earlier this year, we became Britain's largest energy supplier.
Since 2020, we’ve been bringing that same mission to the United States: to provide fair, affordable, and 100% renewable power directly to consumers, starting with the largest deregulated market - Texas.
We're building the future of energy in the US, and we're doing it fast. Our engineering teams are focused on creating products that make a real difference, from empowering customers with rooftop solar and smart battery technology, to optimizing EV charging to benefit the grid. We’re using our tech to launch innovative rate structures and tackle the biggest challenges in energy with world-class engineering and a customer-first mindset.
As a member of the Octopus Tech Team, you'll have real ownership, variety, and the chance to shape products that make a tangible difference in people's lives – lowering bills, enabling greener living, and delivering experiences customers genuinely love. You'll work side by side with teams across customer service, sales & marketing, operations, finance and data, and see the impact of your work in the real world, fast.
We are currently looking for a US-based Product Manager to support our Octopus Energy Engineering team; in the US this is mainly Frontend developers with a growing backend function. Your work will split across managing priorities for the US-based devs and coordinating projects with the global engineering team.
We’re looking for people who want to take part in this journey and help shape the future of energy in the US. If this sounds exciting, we'd love to chat.
Studies have shown that some groups of people, like women, are less likely to apply to a role unless they meet 100% of the job requirements. Whoever you are, if you like one of our jobs, we encourage you to apply as you might just be the candidate we hire. Across Octopus, we're looking for genuinely decent people who are honest and empathetic. Our people are our strongest asset and the unique skills and perspectives people bring to the team are the driving force of our success. As an equal opportunity employer, we do not discriminate on the basis of any protected attribute. Our commitment is to provide equal opportunities, an inclusive work environment, and fairness for everyone.
