About The Job:

AcuTech Arabia is seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Security Consultant to serve as the on-site project lead (on a rotation basis) for our long-term engagement with the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU). This individual will oversee the design, implementation, and integration of a world-class security framework for one of Saudi Arabia’s most significant heritage and tourism developments. The role combines strategic leadership, technical expertise, and on-site coordination within a multi-disciplinary international environment.

AcuTech’s scope of work includes comprehensive Security Framework Consulting Services as part of a Master Framework Agreement. The purpose of this engagement is to develop and implement a robust security framework in compliance with the RCU Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Workflow Process, following RCU Public Safety (PS) security-related documents.

What You’Ll Do:

The Senior Technical Consultant must be skilled in and familiar with the entire RIBA workflow. This role will manage the delivery of AcuTech’s security framework consulting services under the RCU Master Framework Agreement, providing subject-matter expertise, leadership, and coordination across all project stages. The consultant will oversee security strategy, design integration, implementation, and operational readiness for the program — ensuring world-class protection standards across RCU’s portfolio.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to a transformational, internationally recognized project, working at the intersection of security design, cultural heritage, and sustainable development. The position will report to the AcuTech Global Security Manager and work with AcuTech staff in and outside of Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Leadership
  • Serve as the on-site AcuTech lead and primary liaison to RCU, coordinating all security framework consulting activities.
  • Oversee project delivery in alignment with the RIBA Plan of Work (Stages 0–7), ensuring consistent quality and adherence to RCU Public Safety guidelines.
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation for all assigned tasks.
  • Represent AcuTech in client meetings, steering committees, and strategic reviews.
  1. Technical Delivery
  • Lead comprehensive Security Threat and Risk Assessments (STRA) and develop security strategies, design briefs, and implementation plans.
  • Advise on integration of physical, technical, and cyber-security systems within architectural and engineering designs.
  • Supervise and audit design and construction phases, including inspections, commissioning, snagging, and handover activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant RCU standards, KSA security regulations, and ISO 9001 processes.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports, technical documentation, and recommendations for client review and approval.
  1. Governance and Compliance
  • Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures in line with RCU and AcuTech frameworks.
  • Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure program effectiveness.
  • Maintain full documentation of deliverables, submissions, and project milestones using structured quality systems.
  1. Stakeholder and Team Management
  • Lead and mentor AcuTech Arabia staff assigned to the project; manage subcontractor performance.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and RCU departments.
  • Deliver workshops and training programs to build RCU staff capability in modern security design and operations.
  1. Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct post-occupancy evaluations and lessons-learned reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and enhanced integration of technology and processes.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven ability to deliver complex, multi-stakeholder security projects from concept through implementation.
  • Familiarity with RIBA workflow or equivalent structured design-delivery frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of security systems integration, physical and technical security design, and risk assessment methodologies (e.g., ANSI/API 780).
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, operations, and program management best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interface with senior-level clients in multicultural environments.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Preferred

  • Professional certification such as ASIS CPP or PSP.
  • Previous work experience in the GCC region, ideally in KSA.
  • Familiarity with ISO 31000, ISO 9001, and Saudi national security regulations.
  • Arabic language proficiency (advantageous but not required).

Work Environment & Assignment

  • This is an on-site embedded position based in AlUla, requiring full-time presence with periodic home leave and rotation per AcuTech policy.
  • The role involves coordination with multidisciplinary international teams and frequent interaction with RCU senior leadership.
