Area Security Officer Senior Security Clearance Team Lead (SAP/CAP)

Position Overview:
ANSER is seeking an Area Security Officer Program Security Specialist Team Lead to provide leadership and oversight of all security coordination functions for the Program Security and Information Systems Support Team. In this role you will lead security operations across Special Access Programs (SAP), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Intelligence Community Controlled Access Programs (CAP), ensuring compliance with mission and regulatory requirements. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to safeguard personnel, facilities, systems, and information.

Day To Day Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee security coordination functions for the Program Security and Information Systems Support Team.
• Manage program and information security processes to protect personnel, facilities, systems, and information.
• Implement and enforce security policies and procedures across SAP, SCI, and CAP levels.
• Support the Security Management Lead in overseeing security operations and compliance.
• Coordinate security operations with government and industry stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment with Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community, and contractor security requirements.
• Provide guidance and oversight on program security matters to team members.
• Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews, addressing findings and ensuring corrective actions.
• Oversee documentation, reporting, and records management related to program and information security.
• Assist with security awareness training and ensure consistent communication of requirements to staff.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in program security, information security, or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience supporting SAP, SCI, and CAP security environments.
• Experience coordinating and managing security operations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community security policies, procedures, and directives.
• Ability to lead teams and oversee multiple security functions simultaneously.
• Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with eligibility for additional program access.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional security certifications (e.g., Industrial Security Professional (ISP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or other relevant credentials).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across government, contractor, and mission partner teams.
• Experience supporting audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
• Demonstrated leadership in developing and mentoring security staff.
