What You Will Be Doing:
- Manage and lead the day-to-day operations for the payroll, including reviewing input, and output for payrolls in UK, US, Hong Kong, Japan, Germany, and Switzerland (circa 750 employees).
- Manage and support the benefits administration including but not limited to pensions, PMI and Dental for UK.
- Manage and support the coordination and completion of payroll and UK benefit reconciliation and audits.
- Ownership of pa yroll Key Controls by ensuring they are in place throughout all payroll processes, and to review regularly to update and improve where necessary.
- Manage and support Finance to resolve payroll or benefit variances in monthly review meetings.
- Manage and process the Tax year end and Start of Year activity ensuring compliance with HMRC and IRS including but not limited to; UK P60s, P11d (B) and US W-2, 1099, 1042 returns.
- Participate in payroll / benefit system testing for any changes to functionality
- Manage complex payroll and UK benefits related queries, liaising with third party vendors, internal and external stakeholders where necessary.
- Periodical reviews of the current payroll and UK benefit processes, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
- Contribute to updates to policies and procedures to respond and adhere to new and existing regulatory guidelines and initiatives.
- Provide support managing various third-party vendors.
- Assist with audit issue remediation across the HR department if required, including review of actions and implementation of control revisions and process maps
- Support with completing and evidencing control testing and risk & control self-assessments.
- Act as a point of contact / support as needed for the VP, HRSS and Payroll
What We’Re Looking For:
- In-depth knowledge and experience of running payroll end to end, ideally in UK. US payroll experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of applicable UK laws and regulations related to Payroll and HR and processes.
- The ability to organize a very busy workload and work accurately at a fast pace to ensure deadlines are met.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong relationship building
- Self-motivated and directed.

- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in relevant payroll and HR technology tools desired (UKG, Activ, Greenhouse, Oracle)
- Experienced in Microsoft applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Professional qualifications / certifications
- Strong experience in UK payroll processing
- Payroll qualification, preferably CIPP would be advantageous
- Experience/exposure to US payroll processing a plus
