Title And Summary
Senior Executive AssistantOverview:The Senior Business Assistant will report to the Executive Vice President, Global Communications and will be an integral part of the team. This role is pivotal in setting the tone for the team, requiring a high-energy, creative, and outgoing personality, collaborative mindset and good judgment. This person will be responsible for providing overall support to the executive vice president and to the team, including performing general administrative duties such as telephone coverage, scheduling of meetings and events, travel arrangements, expense reporting, calendar management, copying, ordering supplies, and keeping department records including contract administration support.
In addition to these core tasks, the Senior Business Assistant will play a proactive role in planning meetings and events, paying close attention to the news and what's happening in the world around us. This role demands a strong, clear communicator who can confidently interact with high-profile, influential people. The ideal candidate will be keen to take on more than the core tasks and will be interested in using this role as a way to expand their experience and develop their skills through some project work.
Role:
• Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations or other assigned documentation in specified software package(s).
• Schedule meetings and events, arrange conferences, prepare agendas and collateral materials and ensure all meeting support is appropriately coordinated.
• Administer programs, projects or processes specific to the operating unit served, and maintain spreadsheets or databases to monitor departmental information.
• Monitor news and research special topics as assigned.
• Serve as administrative liaison with others within and outside the company.
• Develop and produce reports as assigned.
All About You:
Education:
• High School education. College degree a plus.
• Executive administrative experience in a corporate environment interfacing with senior and executive level management and customers.
Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to function well in a busy and varied environment and work well under pressure and keep strict confidentiality.
• Ability to think outside the box and solve problems creatively.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to influence and persuade, to work collaboratively across functions, and to interact effectively with customers.
• Ability to prioritize and discern what is truly important with a results-driven orientation.
• Solid understanding of Mastercard’s operational and organizational infrastructure is advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); Oracle required.
