We are excited to advertise this fantastic opportunity to become a part of the Aviva’s Insurance, Wealth and Retirement (IWR) Finance Reporting team. The role will give successful candidates an exposure to senior stakeholder management, the ability to strengthen their skills in external reporting (IFRS and Solvency II) and a platform from which to move their career forward at pace.
The role will require the successful candidate to apply professional judgement and expertise on accounting and reporting matters, brief and present to varied stakeholders and look to implement improvements in our end-to-end financial reporting processes. Candidates should be comfortable in liaising with other finance teams and areas of the business to deliver excellence in reporting outputs. With its central position this role is a perfect opportunity to gain visibility and develop a broad network across a wide range of teams and an insight into the financial performance of the IWR business.
What will you be doing?
- Validate and report of the UK Life IFRS and SII results related to Unit Linked products
- Monthly and Quarterly reporting of financial performance and IFRS disclosure analyses to support Aviva Group results and statutory accounting
- Monthly and Quarterly submissions of Solvency II data
- Supporting the timely delivery of Financial Results
- Providing SME support to a varied change agenda

- University degree preferred in economics, finance & accounting or similar (accounting qualifications e.g. ACCA, BR would be a strong asset)
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in technical accounting/reporting (ideally IFRS, Solvency II) in insurance or audit of financial institutions
- Very good English language skills (working with English-speaking stakeholders on a daily basis)
- Presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive approach, ability to challenge status quo
