The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of packaging boxes required by the business. This role focuses on maintaining optimal efficiency standards in line efficiency and material utilization while collaborating closely with contract manufacturers and internal support functions. This position operates within the Operations Department, leading the site’s operational execution process and interacting with Process Engineers, Contract Manufacturers, and the External Supply Solutions Multi-functional Team to deliver cost-effective production on quality, time, and fundamental business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure capability building across the organization to eliminate operational losses.
- Ensure operational basic conditions and good manufacturing practices in compliance with regulations.
- Ensure line efficiency and continuous improvement strategy to optimize and drive agility on throughput, changeovers, material utilization, and other involved operational costs.
- Ensure execution of short-mid-long term capacity strategy to meet business growth projections.
- Conduct routine follow-ups with contract manufacturers to ensure operational targets are met.
- Lead/participate along the project/initiatives cycle and ensure knowledge transfer to the packing line and multidisciplinary teams.
Job Qualifications
Hard Skills:
- Experience in operations management (4 years at least).
- Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.
- Technical operational experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Office tools.
- Strong knowledge of loss elimination tools and zero loss mentality.
- Familiarity with P2P basics (Requisitions, PO, GRs).
Soft Skills:
- Strong influencing skills to manage relationships with various stakeholders and indirect connections with contractors and support departments.
- Effective communication and assertive decision-making abilities.
- Ability to lead and facilitate collaboration across diverse teams and converge different interests towards a solution.
Nice To Have Skills:
- Project management experience is a plus.
