This internship is specifically designed for individuals working towards a PhD who are developing proficiency in their field. As an intern or co-op in management, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in a supportive environment.  This is a 12-week paid internship, designed to provide you with a solid foundation for future career growth. The Opportunity:

P&G has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated PhD intern to join our Scalp Mechanisms and Methods Innovation (MMI) team in Mason, OH. In this role, you will explore various pre-clinical and clinical methods related to scalp health through the application of different scalp treatments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to investigate diverse approaches to skin and scalp health, analyze large and complex datasets, and design and implement consumer studies. The insights you develop will play a crucial role in shaping our business strategy and improving our product design, enabling us to create offerings that effectively meet consumer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate pre-clinical and clinical methods related to scalp health, focusing on the effectiveness of various scalp treatments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore and analyze different approaches to skin and scalp health.
  • Design and implement consumer studies to gather valuable insights on scalp health and treatment efficacy.
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends and inform product development, ultimately enhancing product design and business strategy.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Education: Working towards a PhD in Life Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Strong background and understanding of biology.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Available to work a 12-week internship from May/early June to August in the summer of 2026, 5 days a week in office at our Mason, OH location.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with dermatological research and methodologies, particularly related to scalp health and treatments.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and modeling, as well as a strong foundation in scientific research practices.
  • Previous experience with pre-clinical and clinical testing methodologies is a plus.
  • Publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
