- As Product Lead ESG Operational Data Collection & Calculations, you will be responsible for processing complex data demand in a global environment.
- With your team, you ensure that:
- Data is collected through manually controlled processes for ESG reporting purposes
- Calculations are performed for purposes like Physical Risk and Financed Emissions
- Steering information is generated so that our Front Office teams can make informed decisions.
You engage with many challenging Risk, Finance and Treasury stakeholders. In your role as product lead, you will be part of the ESG Tribe MT.
Solutions Analysis
You are responsible for continuous analysis into data & calculation related issues (DQ, data availability, changing reporting requirements, changing methodology) as well as associated technology improvements (improving comfort level on controls in place, adherence to transition state technology).
Based on analysis, fixes and improvements are expected to be proposed. In particular, you will take responsibility for:
- Data Collection for Financed Emissions (FE) and Emission Intensity (EI) metrics incl DQ
- Reporting of remaining EI figures, FE & MBB KPI dashboard
- Manual reporting of Physical Risk scores for countries not onboarded onto industrialized solution
- Deliver reportable data for newly identified reporting concepts until they are addressed through industrialized ways of working.
Achieves Transformation
- You are actively involved in transition to target landscape (example: FRIDA, GAIA, Physical Risk Engine) while keeping primary process deliveries on par with internal and external expectations.
- In particular, you will take responsibility for:
- Transition of all EI processes to target application (GAIA)
- Structural embedding of FRIDA solution already in tactical processes
- Facilitate the Physical Risk Engine implementation
- Identify new reporting requirements, define a process to deliver results and execute it.
Business Planning
You are responsible to match resource capacity with ESG demand and proactively address any impediments that prohibit delivery in line with expectation.
You achieve this by having a strong forward-looking view, tight collaboration with stakeholders to understand upcoming demand and a thorough understanding of the abilities of individual contributors comprising the team.
In particular, you will take responsibility for:
- Stable planning of all known deliveries & hand over of work to target applications
- Awareness and incorporation of new manual activities (such as 'facilitated emissions') + plans to industrialize.
Leadership And Direction
You communicate the actions needed to implement the COOR ESG strategy and planning within and outside the team (spanning multiple locations); explain the relationship to the broader organization's ESG related strategy.
In particular, you:
- Create an effective team across locations (NL, RO, PL, PH) with a unified understanding of objectives, way of working and planning. You are able to turn geographical distance into an advantage (i.e. follow the sun principle)
- Communicate effectively within and outside the team as reflected in QBRs, Townhalls, offsites as well as in operational communication during daily stand-ups.
Stakeholder Engagement
You develop intensive and proactive stakeholder engagement identifying their ESG related needs/issues/concerns and respond to these adequately so to build trust, predictable demand & supply relation and a clear understanding of future requirements.
In particular, you:
- Communicate continuously with both consuming stakeholders (ESG Risk, ICAAP, Global Sustainability) as well as handover stakeholders (GAIA, Physical Risk Engine teams) on progress, impediments and requirements to have a fully harmonized planning and set of expectations
- Are an active listener i.e. consume information and developments and convert that into ideas and solutions.
People Management
You are responsible for attraction of highly talented and skilled staff, creating a safe and high-performance culture.
You stimulate OHI participation and act on the outcomes. Furthermore, you are responsible for clear communication (townhalls, info sessions) and strategic direction so to enable all ESG Tribe staff to make effective decisions in their day-to-day activities.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in ESG data, regulatory reporting, and transformation leadership.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across global and local levels.
- Ability to lead cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams.
- Deep understanding of data analysis, data modelling, and ESG metrics.
- Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capabilities.
- Experience in international functional and hierarchical leadership roles.
- Proven experience with delivery and steering of delivery work
