About The Analytics Team:

The Analytics Team handles terabytes of data to help us understand our users and learn about content trends. They are responsible for collecting, processing and organizing large and complex datasets in order to generate actionable insights and help various teams at Viki make data-driven decisions. 

The Analytics Team is seeking a Senior Data Analyst. This role will be based in Singapore and report to the Director of Analytics. He/She will play a key role in growing our analytical capabilities at Viki and perform in-depth analyses to help improve business metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a strategic thought partner to key stakeholders by translating data into insights that guide decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (Product, BizOps, Marketing, Content, Finance) to define key metrics and ensure alignment on KPIs and goals. 
  • Analyse large-scale, complex datasets representing the behaviour of millions of users globally.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities. Use advanced analytics to provide actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Design and build robust data models to transform raw data into clean, structured, and scalable datasets.
  • Work closely with Data Engineering to influence the design of data infrastructure for analytical use cases.
  • Lead the design, execution, and analysis of experiments (e.g., A/B/n tests) to inform feature rollouts and growth initiatives.
  • Develop predictive models and statistical analyses to better understand user behavior and business outcomes.
  • Build intuitive, self-serve dashboards using business intelligence tools to empower teams with real-time data.
  • Develop reusable analytical frameworks and templates to scale impact across multiple business areas.
  • Uphold data quality and governance best practices - ensuring accuracy, consistency, and trust in our data products.
  • Build and maintain robust data documentation to promote self-service analytics.
  • Drive the adoption of data best practices across teams by guiding stakeholders on how to leverage data in day-to-day decision-making.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience writing efficient, complex queries.
  • Experience in partnering with product and/or other business stakeholders to drive complex analytical projects .
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of statistical concepts and their application in business contexts.
  • For data modeling: dbt, LookML.
  • For data analysis: R, Python.
