The Corporate Legal team at Thomson Reuters is seeking to hire a senior sales manager for Canada. This role will be responsible for driving revenue growth in all of the legal products. You will work directly with our customers and internal teams to understand their needs and requirements and propose solutions using the full portfolio of legal products. In this role you will also oversee the activities of a group of Account Executives who are similarly focused on growing revenues within their respective territories.
About The Role:
In this role as a Senior Sales Manager, you will:
- Manage a team of account executives who sell legal products and services to customers in your territory
- Develop a strategy to grow market share and increase customer adoption across all product lines in your territory
- Provide regular updates to management on sales activity, pipeline health, and forecasting
- Understand industry trends and developments and use them as selling points when speaking with potential clients
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (pre-sales support, professional services, customer success) to ensure outstanding customer experience and high contract conversion rates
- Contribute to the development of new products and enhancements by providing feedback based on customer interactions
- Stay abreast of competitive landscape and market trends and communicate these insights to internal stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records related to sales activity, customer information, and market trends
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other networking events to promote the company’s offerings and build relationships with potential customers
About You
You're a fit for the role of Senior Sales Manager if your background includes:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience required
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant sales leadership experience
- Strong understanding of legal technology and related markets
- Proven track record of successful sales performance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience working with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce)
