Network Engineer - System OperationsJob Summary
Key Responsibilities:As a System Operations Incident Engineer, he/she is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the existing services and systems infrastructure. This person is also required to support the evaluation of new solution.
• To be able to work on 24 x 7 call standby support.
• To maintain the systems infrastructure including transmission network support system and IP layer3 network support system with high reliability and good quality.
• To provide technical trouble-shooting support to ANOC
• To perform remedy action on system infrastructure for disaster recovery.
• To perform fault analysis and troubleshooting on system infrastructure.
• To maintain and update documentation on the system infrastructure.
• To draft RFO for an infrastructure incident.
• To support any project assigned by the System Operations Incident Senior Lead.
• To escalate critical case and incident to the System Operations Incident Senior Lead.
Key Skills:
* Strong Experience in a Linux centric environment, specifically in RedHat and Ubuntu.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Windows server and Microsoft Active Directory server.
* Knowledge of VMware vSphere and KVM hypervisor.
* Strong technical knowledge and concept in TACACS+, Radius, Email, LDAP, DNS, SNMP and Web server.
* Knowledge of IP networking.
* Proficient with shell and PERL scripting.
* Basic knowledge with MySQL and MongoDB.
* Experience on Transmission system NMS (Infinera, Ciena, etc) will be an advantage.
* Experience on Itential IAP, Cisco NSO, Cisco ISE, Splunk and Juniper Paragon Automation will be an advantage.
* Experience on log processing system (Splunk, Elasticsearch, etc) will be an advantage.
* Experience on task automation system (Ansible, etc) will be an advantage.
* Experience on Kubernetes system (Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift, etc) will be an advantage.
* Experience on IP layer3 network equipment (Cisco, Juniper, etc) will be an advantage.
* Experience on HPE Synergy 12k and Primera SAN storage will be an advantage.
* Experience on data analysis, data science, machine learning and big data will be an advantage.
Qualifications / Certifications:
• Preferred bachelor’s degree in computer / Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines.
• Prefer with candidate having minimum 3 years of experience in operations and maintenance of a Linux environment.
