Your Role In The Team'S Success
We are seeking a Marketing Data Analyst to join our cross-functional Insight & Analytics Team at IG Europe.
The ideal candidate will help bridge the gap between raw data and strategic decision-making, working closely with Marketing, Product, Sales, Trading, Legal, and Compliance departments in the Europe Division.
You'll help uncover opportunities for growth and operational efficiency while providing actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
What You'Ll Do
- Extract data from multiple database sources using SQL queries
- Transform and clean data using SQL, Python, or Excel to ensure accuracy and usability
- Analyse Google Analytics data to track website performance, user behaviour, and conversion metrics
- Build and maintain dashboards in Looker or Tableau that track KPIs and campaign performance
- Perform analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization
- Generate clear, actionable insights and recommendations for stakeholders
- Communicate findings through presentations, reports, emails, and interactive dashboards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, market and competitive landscape to develop relevant analyses.
What you'll need for this role
Key Qualification Requirements:
- Proven track-record in data analysis or data related field
- Strong SQL skills are a must have. Ability to write queries across multiple tables and databases
- Advanced excel skills – incl. pivot tables, lookup functions, statistical analysis
- Working knowledge of Python or R for data manipulation and analysis
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Fluent English speaking is essential. Other European languages are of advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and marketing metrics analysis
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker etc.)
- Experience in the financial services or online brokerage industry
