Role Purpose

  • Full accountability for and retention of a portfolio of clients across multiple lines of business. Whilst experience in both Group Risk and Healthcare is desired the priority is expertise in PMI / Health Trust market.
  • Undertake a Customer Relationship Manager role on strategic clients and able to develop innovative and practical solutions to inform / solve issues
  • Be recognised and approachable both internally and externally as a proposition expert (i.e. Medical / Wellbeing / Risk)
  • Collaborate with clients to review and optimise clinical pathways, implement tailored onsite health solutions, and address broader organisational health and wellbeing risks beyond traditional insurance lines. This includes identifying systemic issues, integrating preventative strategies, and aligning health initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Work with the new business team on the development of client opportunities
  • Utilising client and market relationships to enable resolution of issues and completion of client projects

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Management of multiple client stakeholders, particularly for larger clients with differing agendas
  • Engage in high level strategic conversations with key clients to uncover broader organisational needs, shape long term health and benefit strategies and identify opportunities for value added, revenue generated initiatives
  • Deepen client engagement by analysing occupational health support, health and safety risks and industry specific challenges, translating insights into tailored, holistic wellbeing strategies that address systemic organisational risk.
  • Leverage data analytics and reporting tools to inform client strategy and measure impact of health & wellbeing initiatives
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in employee benefits, health tech and wellbeing to inform client recommendations and internal proposition development
  • Able to share wider client stories and therefore advise more broadly than immediate service lines
  • Mentoring and support for team members to enable them to reach their full potential
  • Internal and external networking to contribute positively to the image of People Solutions
  • Proactively drive and improve commercial value and sustainability of client services
  • Delegation of appropriate day to day servicing of a client’s benefits programme to ensure that work is undertaken at the most appropriate level
  • Undertake second pair of eyes checks and have technical oversight of others work
  • Acting as a role model, leading by example
  • Driving service improvements, quality initiatives and efficiencies in working practices
  • Identify and undertake consulting projects and identify opportunities to commercialise work undertaken
  • Contribution to seminars and articles for publication
  • Support the recruitment of new associates into the People Solutions team

Candidate Profile

  • Extensive experience in UK benefits market
  • Appreciation of current market dynamics and strategic challenges for corporate clients
  • In depth product knowledge of core insurance processes
  • Strong professional negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights
  • Strong client relationship skills and desire to take ownership of key strategic relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Experience supporting clients through change initiatives such as benefits redesign or health strategy transformation
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations
  • Strong verbal and written communication and client relationship skills which can be adjusted to suit the audience
  • Understanding of how diversity, equity and inclusion intersect with health and wellbeing strategies
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and providers
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and manage time effectively, focusing on balancing priorities, targets, and deadlines
  • Demonstration of leadership behaviours
  • Good critical thinker and able to distil complex issues down into clear, actionable tasks
  • Literate in all MS Office applications and particularly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
