About The Role
We are looking for a Service Engineer, with a preference for candidates living in or near the Athlone – Lucan – Portlaoise triangle. This role is ideal for a highly independent and self-motivated engineer, as you will be part of a small, dynamic team providing service, maintenance, and technical support for Munters’ climate control systems.
As a Service Engineer, you will ensure that our customers’ equipment operates reliably and efficiently, performing installations, servicing, commissioning, and refurbishments while maintaining Munters’ high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality servicing and maintenance for Munters equipment.
- Identify and replace faulty components to restore or improve system performance.
- Conduct airflow measurements and performance assessments according to company standards.
- Undertake system upgrades and refurbishments on-site or in our Return to Works facility.
- Produce clear technical service reports and Health & Safety documentation.
- Proactively identify servicing opportunities with new and existing customers.
- Work independently while collaborating with internal teams (Engineering, Service Support, Sales, Field Operations).
- Contribute to Munters’ reputation as the preferred climate control provider.

Your Profile
- Lives in or near the Athlone – Lucan – Portlaoise triangle (preferred).
- Has a minimum of 3 years field servicing experience on industrial or engineered equipment.
- Has experience with HVAC systems, air handling, and industrial equipment maintenance.
- Is confident in fault diagnosis, technical reporting, and customer communication.
- Is highly independent, proactive, and able to work efficiently in a small team environment.
- Holds HNC/HND or a higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Demonstrates excellent problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
