Full Time

End-to-end payroll processing of multi-state payrolls on a weekly basis. This role requires in-depth payroll processing experience, a strong understanding of payroll tax regulations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and committed to confidentiality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process full-cycle, multi-state payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple locations
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and benefit deductions
  • Ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Review, validate and import time & attendance system information
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to pay, deductions, and time reporting
  • Support internal and external audits by providing payroll reports and documentation
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and IT to resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Update employee payroll records by reviewing and entering changes
  • Respond to employee/management inquiries and requests regarding payroll matters
  • Process employee transfers between multiple payroll companies
  • Understand computed wages and taxes to ensure the accuracy of earnings
  • Complete special projects and or other assigned tasks on an as needed basis
  • Ability to prioritize workload efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Monitor employee leave situations to accurately pay employees
  • Process manual payments
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a staffing agency environment
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
  • Experience processing payroll for multiple states and locations
  • Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Workday, or similar platforms)
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.)
  • High level of accuracy, discretion, and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • ADP Vantage experience preferred
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus
