Finance Manager

Summary / Objective

The Senior Financial Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with statutory obligations, and support for internal decision-making processes. This position requires a technically strong accountant with excellent attention to detail, who can manage reporting deadlines and partner effectively with both internal stakeholders and external advisors.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders, including reporting to the banks.
• Lead the consolidation and group reporting requirements.
• Manage the preparation and review of income tax returns, working closely with external tax advisors.
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and best practice.
• Track new statutory reporting requirements and prepare the business for timely compliance.
• Experience with ASIC Sustainability Reporting requirements would be favourable.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, and controls.

Skills And Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) with Big 4 experience.
• Strong knowledge of AASB standards and Australian tax compliance.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial accounting, preferably within property, construction, or data centre industries.
• Demonstrated experience with statutory reporting and tax compliance.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite is ideal).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
