We are highly collaborative, client-obsessed, and enjoy working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment to build the private bank of the future.The Regional Lead, Wealth Planning is a front-line, client facing senior professional with deep technical expertise in wealth transfer, estate planning, income tax planning, and wealth structuring matters for HNW and UHNW individuals and business owners. The Regional Wealth Lead works closely with an assigned Regional Market Executive and teams of bankers and advisors, In addition to advising existing clients of the bank, Regional Wealth Leads are revenue generators in their own right: generating new-to-bank leads via established networks of COIs; speaking and writing, both internally and externally; and participating in the broader trusts and estates industry.

Job Responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to HNW and UHNW clients on their family and individual planning matters. Able to develop strong client rapport quickly and synthesize technical planning topics for client understanding and implementation.
- Work directly alongside Flagstar sales teams and Private Bank leadership to deepen client relationships and uncover opportunities for product and service recommendations, including insurance and fiduciary appointments.
- Function as a subject-matter expert on one or more planning topics, developing thought leadership for Family Advisory’s Center of Excellence. Speak and write on planning topics both internally and externally, and participate actively in trusts and estates industry functions.
- Partner with external advisors, including attorneys and accountants, to coordinate client service, generate new business leads, and contribute to the brand-building of Flagstar Private Bank.
- Uses independent judgement and discretion to make decisions.
Additional Accountabilities
- Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
- Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Education level required: Master's Degree (or Postgraduate equivalent) Juris Doctor or CPA
- Minimum experience required: 12+ Years of experience advising HNW and UHNW individuals on wealth transfer, estate planning, income tax planning, and wealth structuring matters
- Law firm, financial services, or trust company experience in a client-facing, subject-matter expert capacity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CFP, CPA, CTFA helpful but not required. Experience with business exit/succession planning a plus.
