💻 THE ROLE
We are looking for a #TechTalent to perform duties as a Senior Datacenter Engineer for a Axians Netherlands Project (Remote).
 

💡 YOUR DAY TO DAY                                             .

• Performing system management and maintenance activities and provide second and third-line (technical) service support to Axians Netherlands clients;
• System management focused on datacenter infrastructure components in the customers’ architecture, and activities;
• Checking system health and performing corrective actions;
• Performing standard or standardised changes, such as creating or modifying VM’s, Vmotion, user management, restore backups, OS patching;
• Understanding alarms/events generated by system monitoring software (currently Solarwinds, future Logic Monitoring), timely performing corrective actions;
• Performing on-site maintenance and/or project work such as cabling/patching, replacing of expanding hardware and/or components (eg. Memory, disks, CPU);
• Analysing/resolving incidents logged by the customer and communicating about status, resolution, or additional requirements;
• Carry out lifecycle management tasks (patching of hardware components, firmware, and Windows servers.

💡 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Degree in Telecommunications/Network Engineering or a related field;
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus and MDS;
• Experience with Firewall: Fortigate & Meraki MX;
• Experience with Server hardware Cisco UCS and Server virtualisation VMware (ESXi, Vcenter);
• Experience with Storage NetApp and Backup and restore CommVault;
• Experience with Security products TrendMicro Deep Security;
• Experience with Windows server, Active Directory, DNS, GPO and WSUS, etc;
• Vmware and Microsoft Certified Administrator;
• English C1/C2.
