About The Role:

*This is a full-time fixed-term position based in our Launceston office, covering parental leave until early August 2026*

As a Finance Officer, you will work with both the finance team and the wider business to ensure all accounts payable activities are completed in a timely manner. The role will also contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the Finance team, by supporting payroll and other financial activities when needed.

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Code, enter, and maintain accounts payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Process end-to-end fortnightly payroll (during periods of leave or higher workloads)
  • Import and reconcile business credit card transactions
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations
  • Assist with external audits including providing documentation and answering queries
  • Conduct or assist with balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support the maintenance of the Fixed Assets Register

What You Will Bring:

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and accuracy and will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team to achieve goals.

  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Cert III or IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping (or equivalent)
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and a high degree of computer literacy
  • Experience supporting payroll processing would be regarded favourably
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks effectively
