About The Centre

At the Numurkah Aquatic and Fitness Centre we run a variety of group fitness classes each week, offer swimming lessons to people of all ages and abilities, and offer casual squash court hire in a friendly and welcoming environment.

About The Role

In the role of Centre Coordinator, you will play a vital leadership role in our centre, supporting both operational excellence and team development. Overseeing our customer service and sales, health and wellness, and lifeguard teams, the position is responsible for recruitment, training, scheduling, timesheet approvals, and fostering a culture of learning, performance, and accountability.

You will confidently support plant room operations and contractor management systems, ensuring full compliance with aquatic safety protocols such as the Guidelines for Safe Pool Operations (GSPOs), while also leading the Health and Safety Committee. The role involves managing incident reporting procedures, conducting operational audits, and ensuring continuous improvement across all areas.

Further Responsibilities Include:

• Providing hands-on centre leadership, including assisting the Senior Centre Coordinator and Centre Manager to develop and inspire the team.
• Managing escalated customer incidents and ensuring effective incident reporting and follow-up.
• Overseeing end-of-month reporting and invoicing processes in line with business targets.
• Being a proactive, solutions-focused member of the leadership team, contributing ideas and effective resolutions to centre-wide issues.

In this role, the Centre Coordinator plays a hands-on part in driving performance and outcomes through the customer service team, whose sales responsibilities are integrated with their broader customer-focused role.

This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $68,082 + Super & Y Benefits.

About You

• You will have hands on experience in aquatic facility operations.
• Your demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills enable you to inspire and engage our lifeguard team.
• You possess strong organisational and multitasking abilities, allowing you to effectively manage competing responsibilities and prioritise tasks.
• You will be committed to a regular work pattern, whilst also able to be flexible to support centre leadership during peak times.

Essential Qualifications

• HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
• Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• Aquatic Technical Operator Skill Set
