Purpose of the role

To implement data quality process and procedures, ensuring that data is reliable and trustworthy, then extract actionable insights from it to help the organisation improve its operation, and optimise resources. 

Accountabilities

  • Investigation and analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification.
  • Execution of data cleansing and transformation tasks to prepare data for analysis.
  • Designing and building data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
  • Development and application of advanced analytical techniques, including machine learning and AI, to solve complex business problems.
  • Documentation of data quality findings and recommendations for improvement.

Join Barclays as a Regulatory Reporting Data Manager, where you will provide essential support on European Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting (NFRR). The role holder will complete the management and coordination of Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting (NFRR). This role will be pivotal in ensuring that all NFRR requirements are met, risks are tracked, and regulatory feedback is effectively managed across the business.

To be successful as a Regulatory Reporting Data Manager, you should have:

  • Proven experience in regulatory reporting, compliance, or risk management within a financial services or regulatory environment.
  • Strong understanding of NFRR processes, standards, and requirements.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including 2LOD, CDO, IT, and business teams.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to track and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts clearly.
  • High attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in regulatory reporting and documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage risk, assumptions, and dependencies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with the development and documentation of standard operating procedures and control requirements.
  • Knowledge of data systems, reporting logic, and change request processes in a technology-driven environment.

Other Highly Valued Skills Include:

  • Familiarity with the Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting (NFRR) framework or other regulatory reporting standards.
  • Experience in hosting and managing periodic forums or meetings with multiple stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and reporting tools.
  • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2) or experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Previous experience in liaising with regulators and handling regulator queries.
  • Experience in working with IT teams and submitting change requests related to system enhancements.
