JOB TITLE: Lead Software Engineer
REMOTE TYPE: Office Worker: In office position with work from home allowed, i.e. flex or hybrid worker
JOB LOCATION: 3400 W. Plano Pkwy. Plano, TX 75075 [Hybrid position]
DUTIES: Design, code, test, debug, and document new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality, and operational needs. Gather and review software requirements and user stories, provide estimates, and create software design specifications. Collaborate with engineers and architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions. Execute a specific development methodology through the application of various programming languages. Create and execute automated test plans and strategies utilizing business requirements. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients to validate test environments, test data, and test results. Design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results, and produce associated reporting. Perform unit testing, dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and user acceptance testing. Support applications and solve configuration and environment issues. Support the software deployment process. Create and support the development of responsive and adaptive web apps and native apps. Work closely with the UXUI designers to create high quality, innovative, and intuitive user experiences in our products. Create user and browser UI/Web solutions. Contribute to design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software. Focus on scalability, security, and availability of all applications and processes. Align development teams on a shared technical direction and partner with said teams to elaborate on solutions and interfaces. Build code following unit testing and test-driven development. Establish critical NFRs at the solution level and participate in the definition of others. Work with teams to troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficiently. Utilize Java and Groovy. Apply advanced knowledge of NoSQL, Oracle, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, and Hazelcast. Use Splunk, Git, Jira, and Jenkins. Build web applications using React, Angular, Spring, and REST. Build Java-based, highvolume, and high transaction e-commerce applications. Perform performance tuning and application monitoring.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electronic Engineering and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality, and operational needs; gathering and reviewing software requirements and user stories, providing estimates, and creating software design specifications; collaborating with engineers and architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions; creating and executing automated test plans and strategies utilizing business requirements; collaborating with engineers, architects, and clients to validate test environments, testing data, and testing results; designing and implementing code fixes, validating outcomes against expected results, and producing associated reporting; performing unit testing, dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and user acceptance testing; creating user and browser UI/Web solutions; building code following unit testing and test-driven development; establishing critical NFRs at the solution level and participating in the definition of others; utilizing Java and Groovy; applying advanced knowledge of NoSQL, Oracle, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, and Hazelcast; using Splunk, Git, Jira, and Jenkins; building web applications using React, Angular, Spring, and REST; building Java-based, high-volume, and high transaction e-commerce applications; and performing performance tuning and application monitoring.
