Location: London - hybrid role (at least 2 to 3 days in office). All roles are advertised as open to part-time and job-share using the statement below.

About The Role
As a Tech Lead, you’ll provide hands-on technical leadership for a stream-aligned Capital Markets engineering team. You’ll guide solution design, ensure technical quality, and foster a collaborative, agile culture. Working closely with Engineering Managers, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners, you’ll deliver scalable solutions that integrate with OMS platforms and support trading workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and implementation across trading workflows and OMS integrations.
- Set coding standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Drive adoption of CI/CD, test automation, and cloud-native development.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Mentor engineers and lead technical workshops and code reviews.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align delivery with business priorities.
- Partner with architecture teams to ensure enterprise alignment.
- Contribute to engineering strategy and continuous improvement across the portfolio.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven technical leadership in financial services environments.
- Demonstrable experience in asset management, wealth management or investment banking.
- Deep understanding of capital markets workflows and OMS integration.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, Snowflake, and AWS.
- Experience designing scalable, data-intensive applications.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Agile delivery experience and familiarity with DevOps practices.
Desirable
- Exposure to Team Topologies and scaled agile frameworks.
- Experience across multiple asset classes (equities, fixed income, derivatives).
- Cloud and agile certifications.
- Background in multi-team delivery environments.
