Value Analytics Specialist (Chatham or London)
Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC) is a national, not-for-profit, shared services organization that supports hundreds of health care providers across Canada, as well as child welfare agencies and other public sector organizations. MMC provides value-driven contracting and procurement solutions for medical/surgical supplies, pharmaceutical products, local sourcing, capital (equipment, FF&E and redevelopment) and nutrition solutions. Other services include data analytics, in-hospital support, warehousing/logistics, technology, procure-to-pay, and accounts payable.
MMC is actively supporting the creation of a resilient value chain that incorporates environmental social, and economic wellbeing – and fosters the participation of Indigenous businesses. Based in Burlington, ON, MMC operates regional hubs in Toronto, Thunder Bay, Kingston, Chatham, Brantford and London as well as a hub and distribution centre in Oakville.
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Value Analytics Specialist to support our Supply Chain Operations team in our Chatham or London office.
Position Overview
As a team member, the Value Analytics Specialist supports member hospitals with cost saving measures through detailed data analysis, optimizing and implementing consumable contracts, and maintaining a high level of data integrity within the supply chain portfolio. Equally, the role supports and manages the relationship between the member hospitals and their contracted 3PL(JIT) provider.
Key Responsibilities
• Work closely with MMC’s 3PL (JIT) provider for day-to day operations, such as product conversions, backorders, discontinuations, etc.
• Responsible for being part of the team that handles product back orders, recalls, notifications, and alerts using applicable policies and procedures.
• Operate as the liaison between MMC and member hospitals through new contract awards, product conversions, and supply needs.
• Monitoring trends in spend data using internal reporting tools when identifying and prioritizing areas for focus.
• Ensure all contracts are correctly applied and hospital usage aligns accordingly, with ongoing monitoring to identify and address any discrepancies
• Support strategic sourcing initiatives by customizing datasets and assisting with analysis.
• Responsible for the regional management of the MM Portion of the procure to pay ERP focusing on Item Master management and Supply Area Profile (SAPs) management.
• Generate and maintain recurring reports (e.g., spend, backorder, reimbursement, dashboards) to support decision-making across MMC’s supply chain.
• Participate in regional meetings (e.g., PESC) to provide operational insights and updates
Qualifications and Skills
• Minimum two (2) year college diploma in related supply chain field
• Minimum four to six (4-6) years previous working experience in logistics and inventory operations.
• Supply Chain designation, an asset
• Preferred healthcare environment experience.
• Experience with third party report writing.
• Demonstrated understanding of Health Care Supply Chain leading practices
• Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse and inventory management software applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships using exceptional customer service skills
• Demonstrate leadership, analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills that can be translated into consensus building and relationship management
• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent analytical, strategic and operational decision skills.
Travel
• Ability to travel to Mohawk Medbuy offices if required.
• Must be able to travel within the Erie St. Clair area when required.
