About The Role
This role leads the D&I Strategy, Planning and Partnering team and is accountable for delivering the D&I Strategy, Portfolio and BAU planning function, alongside the business partner engagement model. You’ll have end-to-end responsibility for prioritising and sequencing D&I initiatives aligned to strategic business objectives, while designing and embedding a simplified engagement model that makes D&I easy to do business with.
Key Responsibilities
In addition to living our values and behavioural expectations, you will:
- Lead and support the D&I Strategy, Planning and Partnering team to deliver impactful outcomes across the D&I portfolio.
- Deliver and manage the D&I Strategy as a business unit, including the technology roadmap, showcasing the value D&I brings to the organisation.
- Collaborate with D&I leadership and stakeholders to maintain a visual roadmap of projects, BAU, continuous improvement and lifecycle management.
- Establish governance mechanisms to support new ways of working aligned to the Scale and Simplification Strategy.
- Design and communicate a business engagement model (“front door”) that anticipates future needs and informs strategic and operational planning.
- Represent D&I across UniSuper forums and committees, contributing to sound organisational decisions and prioritisation.
- Prepare and present insights for Board and committee papers.
About You
You’ll bring a blend of strategic thinking, governance expertise and leadership capability, including:
- Qualifications in Business, Commerce, Technology or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of regulatory obligations in financial services.
- Proven experience in governance frameworks and strategy implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong business partnerships and influence outcomes.
- Strategic mindset with a pragmatic, results-driven approach.
- Strong financial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
