Position Summary

We are currently looking for a Trainee to join the Corporate Real Estate practice in our Rome office.

As well as possessing excellent academic credentials and legal knowledge, you should also be commercially-minded, with a solid grasp of the market and an enthusiasm for the cut-and-thrust of international deal-making. Ideally, you should have gained 6 to 12 months of experience in Corporate Real Estate at major Italian or international law firms in Italy.

Excellent oral and written communication skills will be major assets, enabling you to seamlessly manage the flow of information between practice groups, clients and stakeholders. Regularly working in large, international and multidisciplinary teams, you should also demonstrate a collaborative approach and an ease interacting with a wide range of legal and business professionals. Proactive and self-motivated, you should be eager to take ownership of your work product and demonstrate the skill, talent and commitment to deliver outstanding results.

Our Practice Area

Our market leading real estate team is active in all the traditional categories of real estate practice, including acquisitions and dispositions of any kind of real estate assets, logistics developments, fund formation, hotel management agreements. We have direct hands-on experience on all real estate asset classes and related regulatory and leasing issues, and we have advised several clients in the acquisition, financing and sale of several portfolio of buildings.

As a Trainee in our practice, you will be working in an exciting working environment, handling challenging, time-sensitive deals that demand a cool head and positive mindset. From the moment you join, you will be interacting with multidisciplinary teams from across our international offices and practice groups and you will therefore also be ideally placed to integrate yourself within the firm’s wider global network.

Duties And Accountabilities1

You will be involved in the following activities:

  • Conducting legal and technical research with a real estate focus
  • Drafting and reviewing legal and technical documentation
  • Monitor clients’ requests and assist the team in making sure that activities are run smoothly and efficiently
  • Conducting due diligences
  • Drafting legal memoranda on broad range of topics arising under real estate law and corporate law precedents
  • Analyzing commercial and legal information
  • Meeting with the client, together with the Associate/Partner responsible for the matter

Qualifications

  • 6-12 months of experience at a primary Italian or international law firm in the Corporate Real Estate practice
  • Law Degree obtained in Italy with excellent academic records (105+)
  • Commercial and business awareness
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong time management skills, ability to stay calm under pressure when juggling multiple projects
  • Fluency in English
  • International experience a plus
